PANDORA

Pandora – Dora Perehazy is a multidisciplinary artist known for her experimental approach. She graduated from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest in Applied Visual Arts, where she already aimed to transcend traditional forms during her studies — creating an interactive game as her diploma project.
During her university years, she continuously experimented with various media, including graphic design, illustration, animation, and textile practices. She later participated in a scholarship-based residency program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sicily, where she has recently returned and currently lives and works.
Throughout her career, she has engaged with multiple creative fields: she has illustrated children’s books, and her work was selected for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. She worked as an art director at Saatchi & Saatchi and later led and managed artistic projects at the ODD animation studio.
In recent years, she has primarily worked with wool, which also plays a central role in her current practice. Her works are largely figurative, while intentionally leaving space for interpretation. Subtle distortions create tension and ambiguity. She is interested in themes of protection and inner depth, as well as the coexistence of vulnerability and strength. She believes that confronting our fears is essential for inner development.
